For those patients requiring extractions, Colden Dental Care offers The Wand® computerized anesthesia and nitrous oxide inhalation sedation to provide a comfortable experience.
A dental extraction involves removal of the entire tooth. Extraction may be recommended for a tooth that is severely broken down from decay, a tooth that is loose from gum disease, an infected tooth as an alternative to root canal therapy or a badly broken tooth from trauma. Wisdom teeth that are impacted, decayed or infected may also require extraction.
Both routine and surgical extractions, including wisdom teeth extractions are performed at this facility!
Dental extractions may also be recommended for a baby tooth that is not falling out on its own. Some people have extra teeth that need to be removed. As well, individuals undergoing orthodontic treatment (braces) may need teeth removed to create space for crowded teeth. In some cases, teeth that are infected or pose a high risk of infection require extraction prior to radiation or chemotherapy.
