Inlays and Onlays

At Colden Dental Care, we are pleased to offer the option of inlays and onlays.  A dental inlay or onlay may be recommended if you have a large area of damaged or decayed tooth structure.

The procedure involves removal of the damaged or decayed tooth structure.  A dental impression is then taken and sent to a dental laboratory for fabrication of the inlay or onlay.  The inlay or onlay is then bonded or cemented to the tooth and replaces the missing tooth structure.

Patients will often consider this option because it is more conservative than a crown and more durable than a conventional dental filling!

An inlay is bonded inside the cusp tips of the tooth whereas an onlay extends over one or more cusps of the tooth.  They can be made of porcelain, gold or composite resin.  They are not removable and feel like natural tooth structure!

Diamond Inlays

Sparkle with a diamond!  At Colden Dental Care, we understand each patient is unique and for those who appreciate creative expression, we offer diamond inlays.

The carat size is up to you!  The options will be presented and you select your genuine diamond.  The diamond is bonded to the tooth in one simple appointment.  It does not require anesthetic and no special maintenance is required.

It is our goal to provide patient-centered comprehensive care with a personalized approach that addresses the unique needs of each patient.
