Colden Dental Care is the perfect harmony of small town charm and advanced technology. Who says you can't have it both ways! Our charming office retains all the comforts of a small town practice while offering patients all the amenities of advanced technology to help deliver the very best dental practices and service.
We understand many patients experience dental anxiety and some avoid routine dental care because of these apprehensions. Therefore we offer the option of nitrous oxide inhalation sedation.
Nitrous oxide, sometimes referred to as “laughing gas”, is a safe and effective sedative agent that is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask that covers the nose.
Nitrous oxide works well to reduce pain and anxiety. It is also helpful for those patients with a strong gag reflex. For these reasons, some patients will opt to utilize nitrous oxide during routine dental appointments.
At Colden Dental Care, it is our goal to create a relaxing and comfortable environment throughout your dental encounter!
The sterilization center is a separate bay adjacent to the operatories and features a Biosonic® Ultrasonic Cleaning Unit, Tuttnauer® EZ10K steam autoclave and STATIM® steam autoclave.
This equipment complies with the strictest standards and directives for the highest level of infection control.
Strict sterilization practices are followed in this bay with one side dedicated to the processing of used instruments while the other is designated for instruments that have completed the sterilization procedures. The instruments are packaged in pouches with indicator tests that confirm appropriate levels of sterilization immediately after processing. Furthermore, weekly monitoring and compliance testing is completed and sent out to be processed at an offsite sterilization monitoring center. All instruments undergo this sterilization protocol prior to patient use.
The staff has been specially trained in the highest standards of infection control. Patient health and safety is our top priority!
High quality x-rays are crucial to effective diagnosis and appropriate treatment planning.
We provide state of the art imaging to our patients utilizing both Dexis® Platinum Sensors and the Planmeca® ProMax 2D S3.
Since the x-rays are digital, patient exposure to radiation is minimal. Our practice philosophy, with respect to radiation exposure, coincides with the ALARA principle, “as low as reasonably achievable”.
The use of digital x-rays also provides the ability to enhance the images thereby improving the diagnostic potential. The images can be magnified, sharpened, measured, colorized or displayed as a negative. Immediate viewing of the x-rays is also possible which reduces patient chair time during dental procedures.
We pride ourselves in being environmentally responsible and the use of digital radiography eliminates the need for chemical waste and lead disposal associated with film-based imaging.
Digital radiography offers environmentally friendly, world-class imaging while enhancing diagnostic potential with minimal exposure to radiation!
Patient comfort is a priority!
For this reason we utilize The Wand®, an award-winning computer controlled anesthesia delivery system that provides painless anesthesia.
Our patients appreciate that we offer this technology. Most are amazed when they experience comfortable anesthesia!
This system also allows for single tooth anesthesia. This results in the elimination of numbness to other parts of the mouth and reduces the duration of post-appointment numbness.
Ask about The Wand® at your next visit and learn why patients no longer experience fear and anxiety associated with a visit to the dentist!
Dental imaging is crucial to effective diagnosis and treatment planning.
In addition to x-rays, the intra-oral camera provides valuable information about the teeth.
The intra-oral camera captures images in the mouth and brings the smallest details into brilliant full-screen high-resolution focus. This technology enables earlier diagnosis and more conservative treatment plans.
At Colden Dental Care, an intra-oral camera is available in each of the treatment bays. The captured images are displayed on a monitor in the treatment operatory enabling patients to finally see the same views as the dentist. The images clearly reveal any pathology of the teeth or soft tissue, such as cavities, cracks, fractures or soft tissue abnormalities.
Our patients appreciate the opportunity to visualize treatment needs via this modality. Most patients have found that it provides a better understanding of treatment recommendations, enabling more informed choices.
At Colden Dental Care, we are striving to create a lighter environmental footprint.
Our office is currently using Dentrix®, a market leader in computerized dental practice management systems. This internationally acclaimed software enables streamlined dental care.
All patient records are contained securely within Dentrix® and can only be accessed after personnel have entered their unique password. All computers in the office are connected via a common network, creating a more unified approach to treatment.
Dentrix® software also enables electronic submission of insurance claim forms, billing and prescriptions. Patient scheduling is computerized and linked to DemandForce® that automates email and text appointment reminders for patients who prefer this mode of communication.
Our office also uses digital radiography, which eliminates photochemical wastes such as developers, fixers and cleaners. These chemicals contain heavy metals that may pollute water supplies thereby posing health risks. Digital radiography also eliminates lead from the environment, which is contained within conventional film.
We are committed to evolving with the latest technology and will continue to do our part to “Go Green”!
Laser technology is a valuable tool in clinical dentistry.
It is for this reason that Dr. Dingman has received training and developed expertise in this field.
Our office is equipped with a diode laser that can be used in non-cutting mode to decontaminate tissues. It can also be used in cutting mode for precise removal or recontouring of soft tissue. The use of this laser nearly eliminates bleeding at the site, significantly reduces post-operative discomfort and accelerates patient healing.
Our office is also equipped with Diagnodent®, a diagnostic laser that is utilized for the detection of decay and is proven to be over 90% accurate. Even very small cavities can be discovered with this technology, enabling early diagnosis and conservative treatment.
The Ivoclar® porcelain oven is beneficial in providing optimal esthetics to those interested in crowns, bridges and veneers.
Our patients appreciate this technology because it allows for in-office shade modifications to porcelain dental work and facilitates high-end esthetic results.
This technology will also allow for in-office modifications that may be necessary to the structural component of porcelain restorations in order to achieve optimal function.
The Ivoclar® Programat P300 is the porcelain oven of choice for most dental laboratories. This technology within our dental practice provides patient convenience by potentially reducing the number of necessary appointments.
We take pride in our workmanship and always strive to achieve the highest quality of esthetic and functional restorations!
